Cemeteries are very peaceful and tranquil during the night. In the desert sun they are bleak, dry and choked with weeds, but at night they take on a different, more beautiful feel which is what I try to capture on film. I enjoy walking about the gravestones searching for that great shot and reading the stones. These shots were all taken in or around Albuquerque (except the the sixth shot which was taken in Fulton, Texas.) Since I was a kid I've had a fascination with cemeteries and have always been interested in them. A lot of people think I'm weird and ask if I ever get scared. I tell them that they're right, I am weird but I don't get scared because I'm too busy setting up shots and watching for cops to worry about ghosts.
